I never thought that I'd EVER have to make a Journal Entry with a title like this, but considering the news I heard, I just couldn't be silent about this. Ever.

If you're concerned about freedoms and rights, you may've heard about China and how it has collapsed back into a dictatorship again, with dissidents and ''traitors'' having their organs harvested, over a hundred ''re-education'' camps, and plans for over 600 MILLION CAMERAS to spy on everyone!
The worst part, however, shouldn't really be a surprise. What is it? You've read the title already, I don't need to say it again, do I?

This Social Credit System basically uses mass surveillance to spy on everyone all the time and rank them based on their behavior and things they do in the eyes of whoever is the leader of the land. In this case, it's Xi Jinping, or Jipig.

From what I heard, the Social Credit Score for someone in China goes up when:
-Worshipping the leader (Classic obedience... classic...)
-Helping the Elderly (Which is more a case of people HAVING to help them out.)
-Donating Blood (Take the blood! All of it!)
-And...

And here comes the incoming shock moment, the ways the Social Credit Score can go down:
-Going against the leader (Complaints? Traitor!!)
-Playing Video Games (Sorry, Final Fantasy VII is just as awful and dangerous to people as Superman 64.)
-Watching TV (Sorry, Game of Thrones is just as awful and dangerous to people as Allen Gregory.)
-Eating Junk Food (Sorry, picky eaters and people highly suffering from allergies, eat your beans!)
-Smoking (Not even this positive can save this credit score idea, and that comes from someone who loathes smokers!)
-Drinking Alcohol (What are you going to drown your sorrows with now?)
-Eating in a Train (But what if it's an 8 hour ride?)
-Standing close to people with a low Social Credit Score (Go away, Traitor. You don't deserve to have conversations or sympathy.)
-Failing to repay Debt (Where is my million dollars? Where is my million dollars, Traitor!?)
-Littering (But what if there are no trash cans nearby?)
-Jaywalking (Freeze, Traitor! Only people who oppose the leader stick their toes on car roads!)
-Never going to College (You must learn what the leader wants you to learn.)
-Following a specific religion (Not all of them, some of them.)
-Talking about or even bringing up specific historical events (The protests never happened.)

And there may be even more ways to decrease it, and when it does, the government will make the rest of your whole life into a literal hell on earth:
-You will be blocked from going on Trains and Planes (Traveling with speed and convenience is now a luxury for followers of the leader.)
-When people call you, they get a loud alarm telling them you are ''untrustworthy'' (That of course means untrustworthy to the leader.)
-You will not be allowed to buy large, high-end property like houses (Sorry, collectors. Only followers of the leader can have the luxury of large spaces.)
-You're not allowed to let your children get a high-end education (Basically doomed to stupidity.)
-Your dog will be taken away from you (And maybe even tortured for adrenaline to be butchered and sold as meat.)
-You will be put on public display in an app where people can see information about you and your low Social Credit Score, as well as why you got it so low. (All right, personal Traitor information!)

The rewards for a high Social Credit Score aren't really encouraging, mostly stuff like being able to take out bigger loans and small tax discounts. Sure, having to pay less bills is good, but does it really matter when the leader tells people how to live their lives all the time? The Chinese government itself stated that this system will make followers of the leader ''roam freely around heaven'' while those who go against the leader will find it ''hard to take even a single step''. Well, living without Junk Food & Video Games is not my idea of Heaven, at all, which brings me to the next topic.

This may be the only time I'm actually going to quote verses from the holy book, and normally I won't go near it or even bother to memorize even one verse. However, considering what this system, and human chipping, does to people, I'm making an exception and made certain to remember two verses and keep them in my head.
Revelations 13:16 & 13:17
And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead;and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Sounds as crazy as the Social Credit System itself? Well, it's not too far off. Remember, I told you that people who go against the leader's word won't be able to buy large houses, much like people with no tag or label from the beast himself.
Think you can get out of this? No, it's a mandatory system everyone must be in. All the time. Rather ironic, considering china's use of the word ''Heaven''.

The only reason I didn't bring this up until now is because the president of the united states is looking forward to implementing the same Social Credit System to control which people are allowed to have firearms, a constitutional right. Even more irony, considering that same president is a bible collector who tried to force bible studies/christian classes in schools, and now he is considering endorsing Satanism, most likely unaware of the ties between the system and the mark.
He is not the only one to bring this system up, though. One presidential candidate, Andrew Yang, says that he is going to implement the same system, too, if he gets into the president's seat.

It's not just in the governments and presidents, either. Companies have banned users before for having the wrong opinions, especially credit card companies. Considering people not following the leader being unable to buy... yeah, you may get my point.

This kind of system can not only control the entire populace by grading them, rewarding and punishing them based on what they do, it can also control the norms of said populace. If this system isn't shut down or permanently outlawed, it will change the way people think. They could end up developing an awful stigma for games and junk food, associating them with the poor and miserable. I'm telling this to whoever is reading this to sternly warn you: This is not a system. It's a psychological weapon, one of the most powerful psychological weapons that could possibly be made. There may be one weakness, but I'll try to pray that weakness ends up being true.

UPDATE: Added 4 more ways that the chinese Social Credit System score can go down. Shout-out to Mr. Enter for bringing them to light.

Sad, sobbingly depressing news about the future of the internet, something I dreaded to tell for a long time...

Article 11 and Article 13 have been passed and are ready to become law. With them, we'll have to deal with even worse burdens than the net neutrality repeal:
-Companies are responsible for what their customers or users do. That local supermarket? It can be forced to close down because someone spray painted a quote from a movie on one of the outside walls.
-If companies want to let their users and customers use copyrighted content, they need to pay for that.
-News websites have to pay a link tax to quote a source. This eliminates all of the small start-ups due to not being able to afford it.
-Upload filters are demanded, scanning for copyrighted content to strike down before it even gets the chance to be shown. Fair use won't save it at all.

This kind of proposal going forward is going to be ripe for abuse, too. Someone could make a remix of a classical piece that's in the public domain, and then issue takedowns everywhere for using the classical piece the remix is based off of, simply because of the melody being the same. That happened on youtube, and now it will happen everywhere else.

Chances are that it may not become law instantly, for there are about 2 years left. I don't know whether or not there is going to be one true final vote on these proposals, but this news makes me start suffering from sleepless nights even more frequently than before. Unless the leaders of the union change their mind and stop taking bribes from the 125 largest corporations on the planet, we are doomed to a new age of depression, boredom, anger and ultimately, the worst future...

Previously when I said that Net Neutrality was repealed, I gave a form of protest to hopefully fight back. However this time, I'm afraid I've no unique way of protesting this. At this rate, a nation-wide revolt against the union may be the only way to save it, unless a rare and huge miracle happens, which I'm starting to lose hope for...

Unless good news comes, this may be my final journal entry here. I just can't feel positive anymore after all of the atrocious acts that have been done for the past few years...

I recently heard that Net Neutrality has been repealed by a predictable 3-2 vote. This is the future of the internet...

-Almost all of the websites being blocked, and only being given a handful of websites to visit
-Websites that can be visited are part of individual packages, each one costing more bucks per month
-Start-ups and small companies being slowed down to a halt, completely impossible to access properly
-Propaganda machines not consuming any data while still charging a lot for actual news
-The ISPs censoring everything they don't like on the internet
-Messages being erased, thereby not letting any word out at all
-Great online services being blocked in favor of the atrocious alternative of the ISPs
-Constant surveillance ready to sell whatever you fill in for their own profits, on top of everything listed above

Now that this message has gotten out, some of you may now know what to do. For those who don't, destroy your routers!

The internet has officially become a pest that drains us of our money, privacy, and thought. It has devolved and degraded from a ground of exchanging ideas to a tool designed to take down anything, and with that, we have no more use of the internet.

I hereby declare #OperationDeRoute in session! Anybody who can no longer enjoy the comfort of Net Neutrality may break their routers, cancel their internet service, and send a powerful message of protest against the evil corporate overlords! They want to force us onto a restrictive burden, and we'll show them that we'll not depend on what they put on our plate!

Go now! Spread the word in any way you can, before this entry gets erased!

EDIT: It turns out there will be at least 1 more vote sometime 2 months from now. Because of this, we can now wait for congress to respond, or keep reminding them if what we did was still not enough.
